Dr. Huyssoon
Owner, General Dentist
Dr. Debi M. Huyssoon (pronounced Hi-soon) is a general dentist that truly values the patient-doctor relationship. She earned her B.A. in Chemistry from the University of San Diego, where she also served in the U.S. Army Reserves and later in the California National Guard. She continued her education at Portland State University, earning a B.S. in Biology, and went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree from OHSU School of Dentistry in 2005.
Dr. Huyssoon is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Alpha Omega Study Club, a branch of the Seattle Study Club.
She began her career as an associate dentist in Hillsboro and Salem but always knew that she wanted to own her own practice. In 2007, she purchased a small dental practice in the heart of Old Town Sherwood. In 2010 she expanded the practice by acquiring another nearby Sherwood office that was closing its doors, continuing to grow and serve the community.
Dr. Huyssoon is known for being caring, knowledgeable, and highly attentive to each patient’s individual needs. She takes pride in personalizing treatment plans and ensuring patients feel heard and comfortable. Her approach is deeply shaped by her own experience as a patient, after a traumatic facial injury in 1996, she spent many hours on the other side of the dental chair. Because of this, she understands dental fears firsthand and is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. When possible, she offers multiple treatment options and bases her recommendations on what she would choose for her own family.
Outside of the office Dr. Huyssoon enjoys traveling, gardening, cooking and canning. She also stays active through workouts and target shooting. Most importantly, she loves spending time with her husband, Scott, our Office General Manager, their two teenage children (which you have seen in our local ad’s how they have grown throughout the years), their two dogs, her mom, that also lives with them, and their extended family sister, family and close friends
Dr. Atack
Associate General Dentist
Dr. Atack earned his bachelor’s degrees from BYU and Portland State University and received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree from OHSU in 2008.
He has lived in the Portland area since 2001 and considers himself a true Oregonian. He enjoys all four seasons and takes full advantage of the outdoors. While he was once an avid snowboarder, he now spends his time exploring the Oregon Coast, kayaking local lakes, during the spring and summer, and hiking scenic trails whenever the weather allows.
When he’s feeling adventurous, Dr. Atack enjoys international travel with his long-term partner. They love experiencing new cultures, trying unique foods, and encountering local wildlife. Closer to home, he also enjoys cooking and is known for making yummy treats.
Dr. Atack is a proud father of five children who keep him busy and fulfilled. While three of them are now pursuing their own paths, they still make time to come home and “hang out with Dad”.
Known for his caring and gentle demeanor, Dr. Atack brings a great sense of humor and a warm, personable approach to patient care. His easygoing personality helps patients feel relaxed and comfortable during their visits.

Karen has over 30 years of experience in the dental field. She began her career as a dental assistant but soon realized she preferred working in the front office, where her playful personality could really shine. Her welcoming smile is often the first thing you see when you enter our office. Karen is highly knowledgeable when it comes to insurance and is the go-to person for verifying coverage and answering billing questions. She takes the time to explain recommended treatment clearly and helps patients understand their benefits and estimated costs so there are no surprises.
Karen was raised in the Portland area and attended Oregon State University, making her a loyal OSU sports fan; although she will root for the Ducks if the Beavers aren’t playing. She enjoys watching football and chatting with patients about “last night’s game”.
Outside of work, Karen loves camping with her husband and friends and going scrapbooking with her sister-in-law, mother-in-law and friends. She also keeps in touch with many of her college friends and enjoys spending time with them whenever she can.

Allison has over 15 years of experience in the dental field. She began her career as an assistant at one of our referring orthodontic offices. After two years, she decided to pursue dental hygiene school while continuing to work at the orthodontic office.
After graduating, Allison joined our team in August 2012 and worked with us until early 2016, when she stepped away to focus on raising her family. During that time, she had the opportunity to live abroad for a couple of years and travel throughout Europe. We stayed in touch, and in July 2025, we were thrilled to welcome her back to the team—and we plan to keep her for many years to come. It’s been so fun seeing how much her kids have grown!

Outside of work, Allison loves cooking, making most things from scratch, spending time with her family, and hanging out with their Italian Water dog. She enjoys traveling anywhere sunny and warm, with Greece being her favorite destination. With her keen ear for learning different languages, she’s always challenging herself to learn more; her Spanish is especially impressive!
