Dr. Huyssoon
Owner, General Dentist
Dr. Debi M. Huyssoon (pronounced Hi-soon) is a general dentist that truly values the patient-doctor relationship. She attended the University of San Diego where she earned her B.A. in Chemistry. While at the University of San Diego, she served in the US Army Reserves and then the California National Guard. Dr. Huyssoon also attended Portland State University, earning a B.S. in Biology. After finishing her undergraduate degrees, she received her dental degree (D.M.D.) from OHSU’s School of Dentistry in 2005. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and the Alpha Omega Study Club, a branch of the Seattle Study Club.
She began her career in Hillsboro and Salem as an associate dentist at 2 offices but always knew that she wanted to start her own practice. In 2007, she purchased a small dental practice in the heart of Old Town Sherwood. In 2010 she added to her Old Town Dental practice by purchasing another Sherwood practice that was down the street and was closing its doors.
Dr. Huyssoon is extremely caring, knowledgeable, and great at individualizing treatment for the patient’s specific dental needs. She has first-hand knowledge of patients’ dental fears and concerns, as she spent many hours on the other side of the dental chair after suffering a traumatic injury to her face in 1996. She will give treatment options when she can and will base her recommendations for treatment on how she would treat her own family members.
Outside of work Dr. Huyssoon’s favorite activities include traveling, gardening, cooking, canning, target shooting, working out, and spending time with her husband, Scott, our Office General Manager, their 2 teenage children (you can see in our local ad’s how they have grown throughout the years), 2 adorable dogs, her mom, sister, family and close family friends.
Dr. Atack

Dr. Atack received his bachelor’s degrees from BYU and Portland State University and earned his dental degree from OHSU in 2008.
Jason has lived in the Portland area since 2001 and considers himself a true Oregonian. He truly enjoys every season, he has been known to snowboard in the Winter months, comb different parts of the Oregon Coast and kayak some beautiful lakes, in the Spring and Summer months as well as hiking several of our picturesque trails in the Fall or whenever the weather allows.
When Dr. Atack is feeling even more adventurous and wants to explore other cultures, he likes to get away with his long-term partner and visit other countries where they will most likely pose with, swim with, or run alongside the local wildlife, also trying new and unique cultural foods. When he isn’t traveling far, he also enjoys cooking & I hear he makes lots of yummy treats.
Jason has five amazing kids that fill his heart and keep him busy, even though three of them are out making adventures and futures of their own, they usually find some time to come home and “hang out with dad”.
Dr. Atack has a very caring, gentle demeanor and can be quite humorous, he’s got jokes folks! Jason has some funny stories and adventures that he will enthusiastically share with the staff and patients alike.
Karen
Billing/Insurance Manager
Karen has been in the dental field for over 30 years, she began working as a Dental Assistant but soon after realized that she preferred working in the front office; it was just a better fit for her, and she could really let her playful personality shine. Either way she was destined to work in the dental field since her dad was a dentist and “she has blue handled scissors”. She began working for us in the Fall of 2009, and we are not letting her go anywhere.
Karen’s welcoming smile is usually the first thing you see when you enter our inviting office, and she is the best one to verify your insurance coverage and answer your billing questions. She is very knowledgeable when it comes to insurance and can most likely answer your questions regarding your benefits and eligibility. Karen will explain your recommended treatment so that you fully understand what needs to be done, and she will break down the estimated costs with you.
She was raised in the Portland area, went to Oregon State University so she is a big OSU Sports fan; although she will root for the Ducks if the Beavers aren’t playing. Karen loves watching football and talking to the patients about “last night’s game”. She enjoys camping with her husband and friends, going scrapbooking with her sister-in-law, mother-in-law and friends. She keeps in touch with several of her college friends and enjoys spending time with them whenever she can.
Karen has two grown up sons, a daughter-in-law, grandbaby and the most handsome German Shephard ever! She loves all dogs and wants all dogs to be her cuddle buddies; she will even try to get you to bring your dogs by to say “hi”! We can always count on Karen to come up with a silly pun or fun-loving joke, which keeps the staff and the patients well entertained.

Office Manager & Patient Care Coordinator
Marta began her career in the dental field 16 yrs ago when she started a temporary project for Dr. Huyssoon a couple hours a day, she was really liking the office work and continued to learn different aspects of the job. After a couple months she became a permanent team member at Sherwood Old Town Dental in 2010. She has worn many career hats while raising her family and has always put her heart and soul into her work.
She is usually the friendly voice you will hear when you call our office and she will work diligently to get our patients the appointment times they most desire, as well as following up with phone calls, texts, letters, and postcards; she makes sure our patients stay on track with their routine dental care. Marta strives to make everyone feel welcomed and “part of the practice family” and you will quickly get to know each other well from your sharing stories throughout your conversations. We are proud to have her as our Office Manager and Patient Care Coordinator.
Marta has a warm, sincere and outgoing personality with a laugh that you will hear throughout the office. She is continually on the ball and willing to go the extra mile for the patients and staff alike.
Her favorite things to do are spending time with her husband, their two amazing adult kids, son-in-law, their large family, all 15 lbs of their Cheeweenie, their two Yellow Lab and German Shorthaired Pointer mix grand dogs. Marta and her husband care for her father-in-Law daily which doesn’t leave a lot of spare time, but when they can, they enjoy glamping in their travel trailer or jetting off to new sites and adventures. She also loves reading books, making tie blankets, crafting and running her Mary Kay Business.

natalie
Registered Dental Hygienist
Natalie has over 10 yrs experience as a hygienist and Hygiene Instructor; she joined our team in January of 2024 when she took a leap of faith and with her husband, three growing boys, multiple dogs and cat in tow, they moved from Albuquerque, NM to Sherwood, OR. It took a few months to get all the stars to align and all the preparations made, as well as a few extra days driving for her and her family to arrive, as they moved here during the January 2024 snowstorm that happened right after the 2023 Winter Break was supposed to be coming to an end. She has many stories to tell about their adventure of getting here.
Natalie is an extremely knowledgeable and passionate hygienist, she is efficient, kind and truly cares about her patients, she talks to everyone in a manner that is easy to understand and makes sure that her patients leave with a thorough explanation of how to maintain healthy oral habits.
She grew up in the Beaverton area, and although she moved away after college for several years, she knew she needed to be back in Oregon someday; surprisingly, Natalie loves the rain. She currently lives in Sherwood and loves it when she can go for a run during her lunch breaks, learning new hobbies like pottery and so much more, just around the corner. Natalie was an artist for several years, she did sculptures, drawings and paintings and has expressed that she would really enjoy getting back into doing art. Natalie grew up dancing on a dance team in high school, college and even for the Blazers, although she is most passionate about Ballet, she gets excited to find any fun dance class or a yoga class that she can join nearby.
Natalie and her husband keep themselves extremely busy with all kinds of remodeling and house projects, their very energetic boys, local family gatherings, entertaining out-of-state family guests, and staying in touch with close childhood friends. If Natalie had her way, she would have donkeys, chickens, ducks, llamas, bunny’s, any cute animal running around her yard along side her other big doggies & cats.
Tiffany
Dental Assistant
Tiffany has been in the dental field for over 20 yrs, her experience is evident in everything she does. She started working here filling in throughout the summer of 2021 and we quickly realized that we needed to make her a permanent part of our team. We finally convinced her to officially start with us in September 2021 and we are so lucky that she agreed.
Tiffany really enjoys being a dental assistant and taking care of others, she feels privileged to get to know all the patients and enjoys hearing about their lives and adventures. Tiffany has a compassionate, gentle and nurturing demeanor, she will make sure that you are comfortable and at ease with your visit. She is the one that keeps the office and staff organized, well stocked, efficient and in tip-top shape. Tiffany makes sure that all system and equipment maintenance is up to code and running smoothly.
She grew up in Milwaukie and loves Oregon for its beauty, colors and all the outdoor adventures it provides. Tiffany has a passion for gardening flowers and plants, she spends countless hours in her backyard trimming, planting and sprucing it up with vibrant, colorful flowers. She even has a beautiful pond with a fish (that came by accident in a plant) and frogs in it, she hopes to get more fish in it in the future.
Tiffany’s two adult children, three sisters, her family and her friends keep her busy with celebrating anything and everything, from birthdays, holidays, family traditions, you name it, and they will all be together hanging out, laughing and enjoying each other’s company. She likes kayaking, hiking, sewing and spending time working on interior design projects at her house or for friends. She has the cutest Springer Spaniel dog and mischievous cat that always seem to know when she needs a snuggle buddy.
MEGHAN
Sterilization Tech & Office Support
Meghan is the newest member of our team who started out just “temporarily helping” around the office in the Fall of 2025 but being that she is Tiffany’s daughter and has been exposed to the dental world for her entire life, she found that it was all very familiar and she liked it. Her energetic and friendly demeanor prompted us to have her greet and seat patients, and she even enjoys answering the phones.
She loves all the holidays and has made sure that the office looks festive for each and every one that has come along. Meghan has a zest for learning and is taking a radiology course so that she can become certified and help with x-rays and some assisting soon. Dentistry may have captured her heart after all. Come to think of it, Meghan has an associate’s degree in interior design which is probably part of the reason she likes to decorate the office, she also has a certification in gerontology.
Meghan grew up in West Linn around horses, training them to be around kids and training kids to be around horses. She rode competitively and would some day love to get back into it, since it is her biggest passion and brings her the most joy! Truly though, Meghan loves all animals from insects to wildlife and dreams of one day going to Africa and Australia to see the native animals in their natural habitats. For now, she makes frequent visits to the zoo. Aside from her love of animals, Meghan embraces the beauty of architecture and art and hopes to one day visit Europe to take it all in.
We know that we can count on Meghan to research anything we are discussing around the office, as this keeps her sharp for her weekly trivia nights and binge-watching Jeopardy with her mischievous and overly energetic Springer Spaniel dog.
